People, In spirit of uniting behind our new president and since I am an advocate of ‘National Security” could someone please enlighten the rest us on Obama’s proposed Civilian Defense Corps?

He brought this up during one of his campaign speeches but I’ve heard nothing since.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwaAVJITx1Y

“We cannot continue to rely only on our Military, in order to achieve the National Security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve gotta have a civilian national security force that’s just a powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.” Barak Obama.

For reference we have something like 3 million people in our Military organizations.

The 2009 Military budget is:

**$965 billion:
• Military Personnel $129 billion
• Operation & Maint. $241 billion
• Procurement $143 billion
• Research & Dev. $79 billion
• Construction $15 billion
• Family Housing $3 billion
• DoD misc. $4 billion
• Retired Pay $70 billion
• DoE nuclear weapons $17 billion
• NASA (50%) $9 billion
• International Security $9 billion
• Homeland Secur. (military) $35 billion
• State Dept. (partial) $6 billion
• other military (non-DoD) $5 billion
“Global War on Terror” $200 billion [We added $162 billion to the last item to supplement the Budget’s grossly underestimated $38 billion in “allowances” to be spent in 2009 for the “War on Terror,” which includes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan]

**http://www.warresisters.org/pages/piechart.htm Just to be fair, I used the lefts numbers from the war resistors league.

Presumably those who voted for ‘Our Saviour’ u are in favor of this proposed new defense force. I was hoping that someone might educate me just to what you voted for. What is this new Defense Force going to be chartered with? Just what are Obama’s “National Security Objectives”? I want to support our new President and would like to know how I can help, being a civilian and all.

One other question that has me a bit concerned:  What did the Messiah mean when he said that he didn’t think he could achieve all his goals in the first 8-10 years of his Presidency. Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the Constitution limit that office to 8 years? Perhaps, his plan is to get this fixed along with changing the Constitution to include “Economic Justice” in the Bill of Rights.

People, I would really love to hear your thoughts. Forgive me but I’m just trying to glean a little information on upcoming “change”.

This is my opinion and mine only:

I’m pissed and that hardly begins to explain the outrage and
betrayal I feel by our government. As of
today, every man woman and child is about $3000 in additional debt to the
current scandal going on in our financial markets. The goddamned liberals (and I mean that
literally) and their mindless policies have forced this country into taking its
largest step towards socialism that has ever occurred in its history.

There is NOTHING in our Constitution that gives anyone the right to
a house.. Its not there! Read it. Despite that, that asshole Clinton (the gift that just keeps on giving) decided
that the corrupt policies of Carter just didn’t go far enough and demanded that
everyone should be able to get a mortgage despite their documented inability to
repay. Banks were told that unless they made
these loans they would fall under the wrath of the Federal Government. This crap is the underlying basis of our
current problem. So, a full fledged
cooking of the books started that you can follow from the loan officer to the
bank officers to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who bought this worthless
package. Frank Raines, now Mr Obama’s
Chief Financial advisor paid himself $90M in performance bonuses over 6 years
while cooking the books to make this fraud look legit.

Barnry Frank and Chris Dodd are two of the co conspirators in the government
who helps kill off legislation that would have addressed the Fannie Mae/Freddie
Mac fraud. This financial crisis was
predicted!

I hate it to my core, but I suppose that eventually it will be the
taxpayer that will have to foot the bill.
I can support that: ONLY IF THESE BASTARDS GO TO JAIL!

I believe that these guys should be tried and convicted for capital
crimes, taken to the nearest tree and hung!
Yes Ted, I do believe this is one of the times that people should be
shot on sight. They are thieves and have
ruined peoples lives and have actively participated in TREASON!

What Rot! And yes, the
Republicans are also to blame for not fixing this when they had a chance,
instead of trying to be “bi-freaking-partisan!

Double Rot!

I’m a repentant Republican Hate monger.. I’m converting to Obama but I need help with my conversion:

Is Obama anti gun as he presented himself in 1996 or is he pro gun as he said after the Supreme Court decision reversing the Washington DC gun ban?

Is he going to pull the troops out of Iraq immediately as he said during his campaign announcement or is he going to depend on the Military leaders to advise him about when they feel the job is done as he says now?

How do I best rebut the judgment issue? I’m having difficulty with Biden after his remarks about Indians in the 7-11 stores and his comment about Illinois Sen. Obama: “I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

I’m sure that Obama showed great judgement here but it doesn’t look like it to the un educated right.

Then there is the Rev Jeremiah Wright issue.. First he was his spiritual advisor and friend and then he was denied. How do we combat that?

Marking the anniversary of the March 1965 “Bloody Sunday” in Selma, Ala., Obama, speaking at a church, said his parents got together “because of what happened in Selma.” Obama was born in 1961.

Obama, in his memoir, Dreams of My Father, writes of a story in Life magazine that influenced him — about a black man trying to bleach his skin white. No such article could be found in Life or Ebony.

Then there is the Surge:

January 2007:

OBAMA: We cannot impose a military solution on what has effectively become a civil war. And until we acknowledge that reality, uh, we can send 15,000 more troops; 20,000 more troops; 30,000 more troops. Uh, I don’t know any, uh, expert on the region or any military officer that I’ve spoken to, uh, privately that believes that that is gonna make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground.

Democratic debate, January 5, 2008:

I had no doubt, and I said when I opposed the surge, that given how wonderfully our troops perform, if we place 30,000 more troops in there, then we would see an improvement in the security situation and we would see a reduction in the violence.

The reaction to this year’s State of the Union address:

When Bush proclaimed, “Ladies and gentlemen, some may deny the surge is working, but among terrorists there is no doubt,” Clinton sprang to her feet in applause but Obama remained firmly seated.

Obama’s released statement that evening: “Tonight Pres. Bush said that the surge in Iraq is working, when we know that’s just not true. Yes, our valiant soldiers have helped reduce the violence. But let there be no doubt—the Iraqi government has failed to seize the moment to reach compromises necessary for an enduring peace. That was what we were told the surge was all about. So the only way we’re finally going to pressure the Iraqis to reconcile and take responsibility for their future is to immediately begin a responsible withdrawal.”

Just how do I resolve these positions? Palin is a PIG! Damn that feels good.

Now, about Bill Ayers. The founder of the Weather Underground…… How do we explain Obama’s relationship?

There are dangers in ignoring or not paying attention to warnings. Pearl Harbor is one example and more recently Hurricane Katrina provided another good example. Each time the cry was heard “Why didn’t someone do something to prevent this from happening?” FDR was accused of knowing about the coming attack on Pearl Harbor in advance but did nothing because he wanted to be in the war. I can’t remember whether or not Ted said this in one of his tirades or not but there have been people who actually accused Bush of not only knowing about the attacks on 9/11 but helping to make it happen.

In any event, there are those that seem to think that we are living in Dodge City and that Marshall Dillon is bound by the rules to always let the guy in the black hat shoot first before he can draw his gun.

The question is whether or not our government should actively prevent attacks or whether or not it should let the attack happen and then do something. On one hand if we actively try to prevent attacks, we have Dave accusing us of killing people for the simple act of thinking. Dave seems to be on the side of letting the attack happen and then doing something about it. This same mindset then is the first to cry out after the fact: “Why didn’t someone do something to prevent this?” A real life Catch 22 if you will. Ted is easier to understand. We shouldn’t do anything at all unless it’s a Democrat doing it and then its okay.

I am amazed at the self deception that we get from our political establishment in that NO MATTER what the party in power tries to do, the other party decries. We need more troops in Iraq, the Democrats cried. Okay, let’s put more in and call it the surge. The Surge won’t work, we are putting more of our soldiers at risk, the Democrats cried. When it did in fact work the Democratic party shills (Mainstream Media) ignores the subject. The Democrats refuse to this day to recognize the progress in Iraq and still maintain that Bush did it all to help is oil buddies.

We now have a Democratic candidate for the US Presidency that is proposing to sit down with the heads of governments that sponsor terrorism yet will not talk to the American Military. Lunacy! His stated intention if elected is to pull out. It is no wonder that he like so Hamas are endorsing Barak Hussein Obama. I would imagine that the Taliban and al Qaeda are endorsing his candidacy as well.

Vietnam finally fell because our Democratic controlled congress pulled support from South Vietnam. Iraq will only revert to an Islamic fundamentalist state if BO repeats the actions of Vietnam.

No, Dave, I’m not moving out when the BO becomes President. I’m going to bitch and whine and complain everytime I have to fill my care up with gas because it is the stated policy of this Presidential candidate to drive us out of our cars. He’s going to drive us out of the energy that drives our economy and fuels our nation.

I had to laugh when McCain finally had the temerity to speak out against the ban on drilling out own oil. That squarely place the Democrats on the opposite side of that argument. I know that gas in a Democrats car is just as expensive as gas in a Republicans car. At least Republicans have somewhat a right to bitch about the cost. The Democrats have to bear the pain with a smile as they are getting exactly what they have been demanding for years.

We have a clear Presidential issue: either you smile at the gas pump and vote for Obama and the rest of the Democrats running for office or you bitch at the gas pump and vote the dumb bastards out.

I believe the 3 overriding issues to be addressed in this year’s Presidential election are the War on Terrorism, the Supreme Court nominations of the next President and how much it costs you to fill up your tank.

I don’t like John McCain and I don’t like the spineless Republicans that shit in their own nest when they were in power.  They deserved to be voted out of office.  However, I believe that Barak Obama is the worst candidate that the American political process has ever seen and the Democrats in Congress are the worst kind of slime.

Therefore our immediate and foreseeable future will be largely determined by this election.

McCain knows that we are in World War III and is dedicated to fighting that war.  Obama has his head up his ass and would have us surrender to the terrorists rather than fight them.  We have an American way of life that deserves defense, not surrender as Obama would have us do.

If you agree with the 5 blithering idiots on the Supreme Court that Terrorists caught trying to kill Americans deserve a lawyer and Miranda rights, you need to vote for Obama because he will appoint more of these muddleheaded judges and will have the Congressional Votes to stack the court with liberal activist judges who make law from the bench.  I’m not sure about McCain on this subject either as he tends to trot along with his Democrat brothers but at least we might have a chance with him.  With Obama, you know that he will appoint a Reverend Wright lookalike to the Court.

Lastly, we need to drill here, drill now and pay less.  Unless you all prefer walking and want to see this economy head back a hundred years we need energy independence.  We do not yet hove the technology to put a windmill on the roofs of our cars to make them move.  We can’t put enough solar panels on the roofs of our cars to make them move and we don’t yet have the technology to make our cars run on flatulence or water or cow manure.  We need OIL.. That is what our economy and our lives run on.  It is f@#$%ing ridiculous for us to ask the Saudi’s to increase their oil production when we won’t allow ourselves to drill in our own country.  It is f@#$%ing ridiculous to not allow American Companies to drill in the Gulf of Mexico while the Chinese are doing just that.

Vote these Bastards out of office and put someone who actually cares about America in their place.

Like $5 gasoline, vote for Obama and the Democrats because that is their vision of America.

We remember FDR, JFK, and GW.  Since we cannot refer to Barak Hussein Obama’s middle name without being called racist or mean spirited, we may be referring to our next Commander in Chief as BO.  Wouldn’t that be a stinker?

I usually work away from home all week, so I make a special effort with my family on the weekends. Every Sunday morning I take my 5-year old granddaughter out for a drive in the car for some bonding time. Just me and my granddaughter.

Last Sunday however, I had a bad cold and really didn’t feel like being up at all. Luckily, my wife came to the rescue and said that she would take our granddaughter out. When they returned, my granddaughter ran upstairs to see me.

“Well, did you enjoy your ride with grandma?” I asked her.

“Oh yes, PaPa” she replied, “and do you know what? We didn’t see a single dumb bastard or lousy shit head anywhere we went today!”

Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it.

It is hard to believe that Pastor Wright just emerged since the campain as the bigoted America hater that he has shown himself to be.  Yet our esteemed Messiah, Senator Barak Hussein Obama would have you believe that this is the first he’s ever heard of such Anti-American hatred from his Mentor.   Senator Obama is outraged!

I suspect that his outrage is more centered on the damage that Pastor Wright is inflicting on Obama’s campain rather than any deep ideological distain for Wright’s message.  Change?  Yea Right.  Obama is spouting change but shows the Hilldebeasts penchant for following the polling data to determine his message d’ jour.

Mr Barak Hussein Obama is just another self serving politician drooling over the possibility of being head pig at the trough.

We can all expect our government checks to be hitting our mailboxes here shortly in the Federales attempt to head off a recession. The thinking is that if all those checks are used to uy something that it will be a boost in the economy and all will then be right in the world again.

Let me see, money in the hands of the taxpayer is good for the economy. That would equate to what: lower taxes? If I recall correctly it was the Democrats greatest hero, Jack Kennedy, who lowered income taxes as a way to boost the economy yet you could go to your deathbed without every hearing a current Democrat mentioning that fact. The Democratic controlled Congress passed this current handout in order to boost the economy, following the JFK lead but yet the two remaining candidates in the Democratic Presidential race make a huge deal about how they are going to tax us into prosperity.. Huh?

A pretty clear indication that the Democrats are a bipolar bunch of opportunists if you think about it.

Just what is it that the blitheridots in Washington wanting us to do with our midsummer present? Spend it? Pay bills?

We could run down to WalMart, that hated retailer, and sent our money indirectly to China or perhaps use it to buy gasoline and send the money to Saudi Arabia, the prime source of fodder for the 9/11 attacks.. Buy a computer and send the money to India? Perhaps the best case is to spend it on prostitutes and Budweiser the only remaining US made products.

I just love this election stuff. The left already has the whine down if they don’t win the White House. The Republicans are Facists and will defeat the Hilldebeast because they are Chauvinist pig or; they will defeat Hussein Obama because they are racists.

They leave no room for a simple dislike of the identical policies of either of them.

In 1986, Mikele Mebembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Mikele approached it.

He and inspected the elephant’s foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully as he could, Mikele worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and Mikele stood frozen. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly and walked away.

Twenty years later, Mikele was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mikele and his son were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mikele, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Mikele couldn’t help wondering if this was the same elephant. He summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure.

The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Mikele’s legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn’t the same elephant.

If we aren’t careful, our allies in Turkey might just kick our military out due to the wonderful Speaker of the House . If she can’t pass mindless legislation that will get our troops out of Iraq, she might be able to piss off a country that would have a negative effect on the war in Iraq. I would hope that you would pick up the phone and tell her what you think of her wasting our tax dollars.
